MEETING OF THE WORLD WAR II – KOREAN WAR ROUNDTABLE

Topic: The China, Burma, India Theater (CBI)

There will be 4 speakers , each with his own story to tell. Robert Ingersoll will talk about the horse cavalry in Burma, Jack Darnell about the Flying Tigers in China, Frank Craig about rescues in the Burma jungles and Hurd Robenstine about flying over the hump.

 

MARCH MEETING SUMMARY

Our scheduled speaker, Mike Mudurian, was unable to attend because he was in the hospital, so Sherman Bailey ,who was our scheduled speaker for July, talked about gliders and his experiences as a glider pilot in Europe. It was difficult to safely land an unpowered glider in a small field, and losses among pilots were heavy.

Attendance at the meeting was 104.
