MEETING OF THE WORLD WAR II – KOREAN WAR ROUNDTABLE

TOPIC :  Lici Calderon will recount her experiences evading the German authorities in    Czechoslovakia during WWII

 

SEPTEMBER  MEETING SUMMARY

      Donald Tyler and Dr. C.O. Stewart related their experiences as members of the first all African American combat unit, the 555 Parachute Battalion, in WWII. They never saw combat but were employed as firefighters in the pacific NW to contain the fires set by the Japanese balloon attacks.  Attendance at the meeting was 92

      The Court of the Missing Lost and Buried at Sea in the Pacific War .

 

     The Army has tested 75 light armor kits for the Humvees and has ordered 400 more from Battelle
