APRIL MEETING SUMMARY: Ed Ezaki was 8 yrs old when he and his family were interned in a hastily built camp in Arizona. They were held there from shortly after Dec 7, 1941 to after WWII was over solely because even though he and his parents were American citizens their ancestors were Japanese. He noted that it was ironic that thousands of young men from the camps volunteered to join combat infantry units and were wearing the same uniform as the camp guards. These same units served with distinction and won several medals.  Attendance 77
